eSummer
July 22nd, 2008The plan for the summer was to get my e-commerce in order, I took some time off from teaching to do that. But all these other events slipped in and the summer is buzzing by. The good news, you can purchase my wire jewelry and other Faerie accessories at Faerie World in Eugene, Oregon August 1-3. Look for me with the good people at Bella Modo and Robin Poff of QB’s Lampwork. If you are interested in classes, you can find me at Bead Fest Philadelphia on August 21 and 22 - there are still spaces available in the Caged Class. If you are interested in the Knot Bead, the class is full, but I will have kits available for purchase. I am bringing a variery of kits and some finished work too, if there is something you are particularly interested in, just let me know.
The Etsy store is under construction. The Blog is getting posted as of today. I will be at Naturally Jennifer’s Beads in San Luis Obispo September 6-8. The store is offering a variety of classes, so if you enjoy working with wire, I am sure there will be something of interest. I will remind you again when she has the class pictures posted. This is a fun place to take a class, you will find the people at the store friendly and the class room cozy and bright. Below is the newest sample of More Whimsical Wire. This class follows Whimsical Wire; you learn to make additional heavy gauge wire links building your repetoire. If you have some heavy gauge wire experience this is the class for you. This sample is designed to showcase the links you will be learning (not necessarily the design you will make).
When you walk a pet snail…
May 31st, 2007Its an interesting concept a snail for a pet. When you take her out for a walk you simply must take time to see, smell and enjoy the flowers because you’ll be moving at a snail’s pace. This little pet was created as part of a doll round robin as a pet for a doll named Pip Squeek. Since I am not much on bead embroidery most of my contributions have been accessories of one kind or another. The snail volunteered for this particular doll. Note she wears a collar and a leash, just waiting for you to take her for a walk and smell the roses.
Bead & Button Show and Classes
March 17th, 2007I can’t tell you how excited I am to have my classes selected for the Bead & Button Show. For both Framed and Whimsical Wire Links and Design, I wish the pictures could be a little bigger and show the entire necklace. Otherwise, how can you tell what you are making? Whimsical Wire Links and Design is one of my favorite classes, the one I think helps students really learn to work with heavier gauge wire. I am going to (attempt to) post some pictures showing other samples for this class. I think the sample for Bead & Button shows mostly beads and you don’t see too many of the great wire links. These samples show you alternative designs and more of the actual wire links you will be making in class.

This sample is all wire links with a lampwork shell focal point.
I will keep posting more examples and information about the Bead & Button Show. If you want to experience terrific teachers from all over the country, lots of excitement around bead projects and bead buying, and spend time with other people who totally “get” your fascination with all things bead or bead related, Bead & Button is just the place to do it!
